- A: When changing tires, technicians spend a lot of time inflating a tire...time that could be spent doing something productive, like changing the next tire. By offloading the inflation process onto the EL-X Inflation Station, the technician can turn the non-value added time that was spent waiting for the tire to inflate into value added time. Once the tire is changed and sealed on your Coats tire changer, move the assembly into the EL-X cage, connect the chuck, select the desired inflation pressure, press the start button and move onto the next tire while it inflates. The EL-X will inflate the tire to the desired pressure to +/- .5 PSI and will automatically turn off. Check out the video to see an example of how >20% productivity savings can be achieved.
