LA VERGNE, Tenn. - Hennessy Industries has introduced its newest tire changer, the COATS® 5040 A/E Rim Clamp® Tire Changer, which can service tire and wheel assemblies up to 21 inches wide.
The 5040 A/E Rim Clamp® Tire Changer is designed for shops looking to add service capacity and greater wheel protection. Available in air or electric drive, the tire changer has an x-shaped turntable with an external clamping range of 10 to 21 inches. Protection accessories prevent metal-to-metal contact, while pedal controls allow more careful tire mounting.
"Wheels keep getting bigger and easier to damage, from both OE and custom manufacturers," said Kevin Keefe, Hennessy's group marketing manager for tire service solutions. "With this new tire changer, COATS® is providing shop owners and technicians with an innovative, cost-effective tool that is capable of handling virtually all OEM wheels. Keefe added that the controls are logically placed for stationary work without excess reaching, walking or bending, which translates into more jobs turned and more profits. Additionally, the COATS® 5040 A/E Rim Clamp® Tire Changer has built in bead sealing jets for faster workflow, and an x-shaped tabletop that firmly holds wheels in place.
