ALIETL

A Symbol for Quality and Safety

  • Ammco Lifts are tested in accordance with the performance requirements of the Automotive Lift Institute’s ongoing quality and safety program, based on American National Standard “Automotive Lifts - Safety Requirements for Construction, Testing, and Validation” (ANSI/ALI ALCTV-1998)
  • This standard, recognized industry-wide, indicates that the lift manufacturer’s production facility must meet quality control requirements set forth and verified by frequent surveillance and plant inspections. Products must be tested by an independent third party testing laboratory for compliance. Testing must be repeated every five years to ensure applicability. Testing is done to verify the structural integrity of all systems and components,
proper function of controls and failsafe
devices, proper lowering speeds, overload protection, and other critical factors.
  • The standard also requires manufacturer provided instructions and manuals, as well as lift operator safety documents, must be comprehensive and complete to the requirements of the program. An automotive lift bearing the ALI Certification Mark, as shown above and an ETL Listing Mark, as applicable, indicates that it
    meets these requirements.
